I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. A text apparently from HSBC saying a payment was attempted from a new device, if this wasn’t me, go online to hs-payee-bankingonline-supportalert.com/login/. I didn’t open the link. Not only that, it’s a company credit card and they don’t have my personal telephone number. So obviously a scam.

has repeatedly rung me trying to make me pay for an advert in his crime prevention magazine that he says I agreed to but I know I didnt. Last phone call was today he became aggressive and nasty, resorting to bullying tactics. Hope I ve heard the last of him but I doubt it somehow. I wonder how the police force or the actual crime prevention team feel about this kind of thing
