Indian/Pakistani sounding clearly calling from a call centre not in the U.K. as he had me on speaker phone and could hear him speaking with someone else as I answered the call. He asked for someone I don’t know. I told him I didn’t know the person and he got rude and aggressive with me before hanging up. I’ve blocked the number.

just got a call from this number. the man on the other line - someone name john something - said he was calling from "Allied Interstate" about an unpaid debt. I said that he must be mistaken as I don t have any debt. He said "we will see" and asked for personal information. I hung up. Obviously not trustworthy!

Someone called my mobile from this number 02087258118, using an automated voice, saying they were going to suspend my National Insurance number because of unusual activity!! Very threatening and loud voice saying I had to ring back this number immediately. To me that sounds like a scam because anything serious and legal they would have phoned and spoken to me and sent an email. Its twice now that my mobile number has been contacted by scammers and its getting really annoying.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. They are now ringing my husbands mobile using one of their other numbers 0161 826 5780 all times of day they dont answer you when you pick it up there is always a voicemail message directing you to hold for their accounts dept and they DENY they are workin for Orange when you do get through so check your facts are correct before making rude assumptions about others.
