SCAM. Automated message claiming to be HMRC. Saying they had detected tax fraud in my name, but not mentioning my name, and that I had to press 1 or... at which point I hung up. I would expect if the HMRC were to call me they would ask for me by name.
another annoying call from number I don t recognise, so I don t answer. I get at least 3 calls per day from numbers I don t know. I have a way of blocking these calls, ( which I have had to pay for)but as soon as I do that, another one pops up. I would be very happy to know that "somebody" out there is working to deal with this.I know from reading comments and talking to friends that just about everyone is affected, and that I m not the only person to be maddened by these calls.
Keep getting called by this number and I am ex-directory and never give my home number to anyone. I do not answer this number and they have never left a message. H ever they call at any time on any day of the week repeatedly. I wish there was a way to make them stop.

At worst it s a scam preying on older people because they don t seem to have a website and are asking whether you re over 65. got a text from this number saying my account with Natwest has been locked, I am not with Natwest and it also links to a website. the website it links to domain was created 17 hours ago with a low traffic volume a bit weird for Natwest. Don't you think? I would avoid this link and if you are really worried call up Natwest on their official number.

I am not with First Direct and why would a bank be texting anybody? These texts with links are designed to trick us into installing scamming software on our phones. Please do not tap on these links.
