Claimed to be a “Michael Fernandez” from Windows Technical Department.He told me that there has been a corruption with my computer and that he has to resolve it for me and started to give me directions on where to navigate on my pc. I stopped him and asked what exactly the problem was and he said it was something to do with the RAM and hardware and that if he doesn’t help me it will cause me major problems. Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8438727xxx range... People did someone answer this number?

Scammers!!!! They called my grandmother regarding a PPI claim, telling her in order to claim she would need to put £400 on a travel card (this was their agency 'commission' apparently), and they would come to her home (beware, they already knew her address) to exchange the travel card for her "PPI compensation cheque". Thankfully we've taught her well and she called me first to ask if I thought it was a scam.
Automated call claiming to be Halifax Fraud Dept & ask you to call them back with the three digit code they give you. I used the number on the back of my card instead and while there were fraudulent payments on my card. Halifax sorted it but I believe it was a fishing call to get more information so they could use my card

They say that they re from MBNA and want you to give them your private information. best way to find out who they really are is to let them confirm the last four digits of your account number. if they don t know - hang up.
these people are phoning my mobile 4 times a day, every day including weekends - they are bloody pests and the government needs to enact laws to stop this pestering
Last week I bought a BT BT8500 Advanced Call Blocker phone and it works a treat. I am not connected with BT in any way but I can highly recommend this phone. It will keep a log of the calls it blocks and this number called me today but the phone blocked it and it didn t ring. Peace at last!!
