SCAM or fraud. I was called by this number it was an automated call. Said calling from I'm sure it said Aviva fraud or something department. Re 2 payments made 1 to Amazon & 1 to somewhere else. So to confirm them by pressing 1 I did not do that & after 10 seconds or so it went dead. I only have insurance home/ contents & car with Aviva but done through a good insurance broker. I have no credit cards nothing to do with payments from Aviva to anywhere. I feel 100% this was a fraudulent/ scam

Received call from Automated message claiming to be HMRC chasing TAX and would start legal action soon if nothing is received, press 1 to speak to an officer. Checked HMRC, portal, email and letters and nothing wrong. Appears to be a scam but cannot confirm due to HMRC not working Saturdays :/

Recorded message purporting to be from VISA security advising of two debits to my card, and asking my to press a number to speak to them. Lack of customer name or even name of card issuer made call to generic to be legit, so looks like a scam. However since number is a landline looks like the recorded number is also bogus

Scam recording from my visa card Co advising 2 fraud transactions for big amts, called my card Co from no on bk of my card and no transactions have taken place, be careful all especially the elderly, try use a credit card at all times then transfer from Yr debit card to pay it, never take out he house Yr debit card, as bank don't always reimburse u for fraud, the credit card Co will if you have shown you took care reporting any suspicious activity and were careful with Yr details online. Russian sounding chap called from 02081871316, didn't give a compnay name, but said in a clunky manner that I'd bought bitcoin as "another company", it's been stolen but they can help me get it back. I'm concerned that they might scam someone if they get more slick at the script.

Called about a motorcycle accident only 6 days ago (about which I'd only spoken to insurance company) - their info was several days old and when I asked who they were and why they were contacting me they asked why I was being rude and then hung up! - all the signs of a dodgy '3rd party claims vulture' if you ask me!!

Automated message when you pick up that says ive avoided tax of some sort and that I need to press 1 to speak to someone to avoid it going to court. After pressing 1 it just goes silent and when you call it back it just says persons phone is switched off. Im based in Wales and call is from Manchester so will assume its a scam

SCAM Female operator trying to tell me the company she worked for controlled my broadband and that i could be getting a better rate. When i declined and requested she didn't call me again, she became very argumentative to the point she was shouting down the phone.

Fraud (Call back scam) They hung up as soon as I answered. It's the tedious call back scam where naive people (marks) call back thinking that it's a local/national number when, in fact, the return call is redirected to a premium rate number without the mark's knowledge. Works well with the drunk, those on drugs, the vulnerable and Boris voters.
