Fraud Pretending to be from Sky technical department and that my router was giving me problems.. it was sometimes fast and sometimes slow, (aren’t they all ?) anyway, I told him I didn’t have a router, so he asked if I had a cell phone, I told him no, then the call ended.. probably trying to find someone else with a dodgy router. !

Called March 10 2922. Domestic appliance insurance scam. Didn't wait for all the details. Typical asian voice saying insurance was running out. Normally they offer to renew at a discount if you give them your card details. NEVER give out personal details or bank details to anyone who phones you. If in doubt find the phone number you want from an independent source and phone them.

If you have free calls (eg free weekend and evening calls through BT) then phone them back (with 141 prefix) and tell them to check the TPS website before calling anyone. If they ask for your postcode, refuse to tell them. Also refuse to give your number, or any other information about yourself. Simply state over and over again that they are required to consult the TPS website before calling any number. If they talk over you just keep saying "Dont t talk over me, listen to me" until they stop, then tell

SCAM - automated call. Left a voicemail to say that a legal enforcement action had been initiated on my National Insurance number and for me to call them back and they would go through my case file with them. They also said that if i did not do this, my National Insurance number would be deleted.
Human voice saying pre-recorded statements about having got my number from the RTA department and was I in an accident recently. Asked her to clarify recently and it was 2-3 years which gave the game away. I m usually really careful with my number so I think it s an auto-dialer.

When i try to find out who it is, then i see that there is no particular information about the caller. So, UK you won't get a bite from me no matter how many times you call me. I m so sick of sales calls to my mobile that I don t answer unknown numbers any longer. This Derby number has telephoned me at least twice a day over the last three weeks, no message is ever left, so I know they are not bonafide. I have requested companies take my info off their databases in the past and have threatened to report them, but I m not sure it has any effect. They seem a law unto themselves.

Had a cold calI from this number today. I answered the phone, could hear voices in the background. Nobody replied and the line went dead after about 30 seconds. I rang the number back and found out that it belongs to Logic Guard Insurance. I told them that I am registered with the TPS and asked them to take my number off their database. SCAM They ring pretending that they have been involved in installing insulation in your loft and that there's a potential problem with it that they need someone to visit. It is all lies. Energy efficiency and insulation is a good thing, but this company is definitely a scam. They seem to be making use of standard recorded messages in response to your responses too, to make it sound like it is a human on the other end.
