Various callers, male and female, all asian-sounding, claiming to be from TalkTalk and wanting access to computer to fix router problems. They don't ask for anyone by name,...

Automated call, American accent, claims to be HMRC

Basically they re a fishing company, poorly-paid scammers doing blanket cold calling asking "have you had an accident in past 3 years" (citing they have bogus "information at hand") until, inevitably, someone says "yes". Cue then a selling job about how they can claim compo for you (for a % price). Not a scam; just a sad reflection of compensation culture and call-centre mentality. Hang up immediately; or if you want to be arsey, engage person in pointless conversation (though it isn t really his/her fault)
