Got this call today so looked it up on this site. One thing though - if it s clear pretty quickly that it s a cold caller that you don t want to speak to, just say "no" and put the phone down. No need for a polite conversation. No need for "no thank you very much". Just put the phone down. They are being extremely rude by intruding into your day so you allowed to be rude back by just hanging up straight away. Much easier for you.

Scam call. Supposedly from energy provider telling me that I needed a survey to see if my loft insulation needed replacing.
Fraud. Automated call saying my NI number was going to be suspended due to fraudulent behaviourand to avoid being arrested I must press 1 to speak to an advisor. Needless to say I did not.

Mike Paige seems to have quite a reputation for being rude. He was very rude to me when I said the MD was not available, he said I heard you speak to MD. I said he was not available again and he put the phone down.

I received an automated call claiming to be from HMRC fraud and wanted me to go through a set of number keying. Obviously a scam when I checked the number in Google it came back to a bakers in Glasgow. it seems the callers are spoofing telephone numbers to use in the scam.
