Not sure who phoned but they called on and off for last 2 weeks
Clear scam. Do not answer. Claim to be VISA checking if a £600 online purchase is valid. Asks you to press 1 to talk to an adviser. Not sure what would happen if you pressed 1 but it would not be good. Same automated call received earlier in the day from a totally different number.

Said he was from an IT company that I had used recently, when I asked where he got my number from overrode my questions saying he had got it from a database and continued saying I had used one of there services recently. Told him my number was on TPF and he replied not interested and it didn t concern him what I was on. Click here to begin: https://paypal.form-complete.com/?p=4 Did not click on the link as it was VERY CLEARLY A SCAM!! cannot believe how disgusting these people are. The number has now been blocked.

SCAM received call today 16th Nov 2020. A recorded message from Amazon. I hung up instantly and blocked number as I keep getting same call from different numbers re non-payment of Amazon Prime and threatening legal action. I blocked the number.
I have TPS but get constant cold calls and this is one number that keeps popping up. When you ask them who they are they hang up but they are tring to sell a landline contract.

Follow up call from FGW Customer Services, updating me on my complaint.
Had a feeling this was ADT, haven t confirmed it but the comments seem to strongly indicate ADT. On top of the 0161 code. Just rang now at 3.19 in the morning, about five to six rings before I d even got to it, and then stopped. Alarm not going off, and it is for our house so would like to know why they rang in the wee hours when we re sleeping.

Sounded recorded and said my internet service would be cut within 24 hours and then proceeded with usual crap advice at which point I hung up.

Basically they re a fishing company, poorly-paid scammers doing blanket cold calling asking "have you had an accident in past 3 years" (citing they have bogus "information at hand") until, inevitably, someone says "yes". Cue then a selling job about how they can claim compo for you (for a % price). Not a scam; just a sad reflection of compensation culture and call-centre mentality. Hang up immediately; or if you want to be arsey, engage person in pointless conversation (though it isn t really his/her fault)

Call from man (no gentleman) with Indian accent who claimed to be from Microsoft Technical Department. When I jokingly replied that I was from Microsoft fraud department he ranted down the phone at me for 15 minutes in abusive language before he eventually hung up. I have had scam calls before but this one was downright offensive.
Wittering on about saving on electricity bills. Sounded like an Indian call centre.
