Claims direct...... regarding recent accident .... Pointed out to them that by storing my information without my consent and cold calling me is illegal and advised they should remove all traces of me from their database and I will be reporting this company. This is the second time in a week they have called even after I requested they remove mt details on the last call. Guy got very edgy pleading with mr not to report this and apologised.

SCAM Indian woman said she was from carphone warehouse doing a promotion with lots of discount off products. She then said so you have a contract then which one? I said you should already have those details if you're from carphone warehouse at which point she started to stumble and kept asking me what contact. Claimed to be postcode lottery. I apparently won a prize and they had my name and asked to confirm my sort code and account number also. I was able to find information from the postcode lottery website that was very helpful and when I challenged the caller, they hung up. Please be aware, as this seems likely to be a scam. I’ve never signed up for the postcode lottery, so couldn’t have won anything from them.

My husband passed the call to me as it related to my washing machine insurance renewal so I did not hear any name or how the call started. He did rather a hard (and fast) sell with a reduced annual figure but taking 3 years immediately. He seemed to have details of my current annual figure. I checked with D&G who deal with the insurance and they did not recognise the phone number as belonging to anyone working for them.
