British Gas. calling me for months. First from Manchester. Got apology. then it starts again. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BRITISH GAS. I don t know why they give out 0843 numbers because they all seem to be used for these types of premium rate scams. If you register for the non-existant prize draw you are charged huge sums for every message you get from them until all of your phone credit is gone.

Number has 12 digits, too many to be valid in the UK.

I've had many calls of this sort, sometimes several in one day. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they hang up. I am on a call preference service but they still get through....
