I asked who was calling, and they didn't answer, launching into some prepared speech that I'd be receiving something in the mail in two to three days about taxes. I suspect it was scam of some sort, but just told them I couldn't hear them properly and hung up.

I answered this once, asked them to take me off their lists and in the last 7 days they have tried to call me over 10 times, various times of the day including weekends.
Harringtons Advisory ltd. This company is now under investigation. PPI and Pension calls. They are using local area codes. Inwood House, 5 Castlecroft Road, Bury, Manchester. Their main phone number 0161 764 3020.
Call from this number. I am convinced they call off several different numbers so that you can't block their calls. Once again, claim to be from a budget control company....
