A man claimed he was from a company called "Speed" who rudely demand to know why I hadn t made a claim for the accident I d apparently been in. The last accident I d been involved in was a few years ago and upon hearing me start to explain this he hung up before I finished speaking. This is clearly a scam hoping to either get some personal details to allow them to commit identity fraud or to falsely extract money from me.

Obvious call centre noise background noise as soon as I answered, with a delay before anyone responded. The caller had an extremely strong Asian/Indian accent and told me his name was Paul Simon (yeah, right!) calling from Norfolk County Council about a recent accident I d had. I told him I hadn t been involved in an accident, he said it must have been a family member (I live alone, but didn t tell him that), I repeated that he was wrong and asked who he thought had been in the accident. Called me today and after ascertaining I was the person she wanted to speak to, informed (yes! informed)me that I had worked in a noisy environment and they had been allocated a sum of money... I stopped listening, informed the caller that I was registered with TPS and no matter what excuse they could put forward, there is no way I would be doing business with any company which would deliberately ignore my wishes regarding cold calling.
