Very rude man with poor English trying to upgrade my new phone which did not exist! Apparently he had permission from Vodafone to call me with upgrades to this imaginary phone. I have never used Vodafone but he told me that he had taken calls from my current number arranging for the mystery new phone which was due to be delivered. I would imagine Vodafone would be very annoyed by this kind of cold call criminality.
Do not take this phone call, it is a scam! I’ve been insulted over the phone as I did not want to share my personal information.
This number called my mobile but cut off when answered. I called back but the number was not recognised. Now blocked.

Lady with Indian accent claiming to be from "The Phone House Company" and wanting to upgrade me to a new iPhone 11. I asked how they have my number and she said from a shared database of all UK providers, although this would seemingly breach GDPR for sharing customer's contact details and wouldn't make sense for the businesses to risk losing customers this way. Have been called repeatedly by this number. This caller follows typical silent call behaviour by hanging up as soon as my answerphone switches over to record a message. Anyone legitimate would leave a message. High probability this is at best a cold sales call.
This number is from scammers in Birmingham wanting your bank details to repay you home appliance warranty overpayments that do not exist. Usually get three to four calls per week from same people using different numbers. They tell you that you have overpaid and they are from the refund department and can only pay your refund directly into your bank account DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY DETAILS. A man rang from this number, I think he said from PAC - had my name and said I had been advised by a financial adviser to move my pension. When I asked where he got this information, he said from Pensionwise. As far as I am aware Pensionwise do not have such information. I said I had not seen a financial advisor or been advised to move my pension. The man was very polite and rang off. I was suspicious and think it could have been a dangerous if I had shared financial info.
