A man claiming to work for Sky media told me that my internet connection had been compromised as there were apparently other people accessing my network. I was told that this person needed to access my account to block these people from using my internet connection. I told him that I could see which devices were using my network by logging in to my account (which I did while I was talking to him). This is an Amazon Prime scam. The prerecorded message says that if you don't press 1 you will be recieving a £700 odd Iphone. This is an obvious scam so I just dropped the phone.

Trusted to answer as it's a number local to me. Turned out to be an automated message claiming to be from VISA payments to say that my card had been charged £300 to Amazon and £1100 to Western Union, encouraged me to press 1 to dispute charges. Decided it was going to be a phishing scam and hung up.

When looked up it’s not connected to any company, personally I’m not waiting for a phone a call from Manchester as I’m from a different area in the UK. Phoned a few times over the past weeks, never left a message on the answerphone, so I took it as not important.
SCAM Telling me my Amazon account was being charged over £2,000 for a phone which was being dispatched today. "If you did not place this order please press 1 to be connected to Amazon customer services ". Needless to say, I hung up and checked my account, just to be on the safe side! ????
