I got a phone call off 02037735554 today saying its carphone warehouse saying I have a 60% off phone in-store but I don't no how he new my name and address ??????

Called after I was looking at the virgin media broadband offers but didn t go through with it to see if I still wanted the offer. I don t know why they used a mobile number.

Had a missed call. Called them back. It was a computer generated message that tells me the break down cover on my set top box is due to renew. But no details on who the caller is to tell if this is fake or not.

This is probably a cloned number claiming to be British Gas. Almost certainly a scam. If you ring it, the menu does not give an option to speak to an advisor. Tell them in your best Anglo-Saxon to go forth and multiply. If the calls persist then call Action Fraud.

Called saying id had a accident in the last few years?

Called three days in a row. Asked for company director by name, who happened to be the person who d answered the call. Then asked if the company has any dept with HMRC and about cash flow. Director stated that cash flow was fine and politely ended the call. Felt untrustworthy. Possibly looking to offer loans etc.

Emily, claiming to be IT Support, I think Microsoft was mentioned. Offering to help fix problems with my computer. I played along for a while, got bored & hung up. Rung me back, so I told her I m IT technician, and there s nothing wrong with my PC. She warned me I was wrong, and hung up.

Report to the ICO, this practice is bad enough without having a two bit con firm deliver these calls at a very low standard even for this industry, should be closed down.
