I got called by this number at 18:07. The line was silent and when I hung up it called again. A quick search suggested it was Barclays Bank. An odd time of day for a bank to call! I contacted Barclays via their app for a live text chat. The operator assured me it was a Barclays number and not a scam. SCAM automated call! This number called - I didn't answer as I didn't recognise it. My voicemail picked up part of an automated recorded message, seemed to be telling me to press 1 or my National Insurance number would be 'switched off' and I would no longer be able to use it. Possibly the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard but sadly some people will panic and do as they're told!

I didn t pick up but I knew exactly what they were calling for, this was the third time they called me in as many days. Every couple of months EE will try to get me to switch from the £10 Everything sim to something more expensive. I tell them every time that I m not interested in changing at all but they keep calling. Most annoying thing ever- they don t take no for an answer and when I say I m not interested they pretend they didn t hear and keep trying.

Yep, same thing happened to me. One number out of an influx of numbers calling me and hanging up - scamming Paki bastards in scam call-centres routing their calls through unused UK phone numbers to pretend that they're legitimate companies to try and fish for your personal details and use them for fraud. I wish these filthy Paki bastards would just fuck off and die!

Having received a call from this number I decided to call the number back, it was connected to a Pension Claims company, however as I have started to notice if you listen to the full message you can remove your details by pressing X/#... so will see if this works.

Been receiving calls from this number at least once a day for a couple of weeks now, only rings once or twice then most times when you answer it hangs up! One occasion I did answer and the Liverpudlian lady at the other end was extremely rude and actually said to me "I don t know who you think you re talking to" when I said I wasn t answering her questions about a car accident!
