Silent call - received this call minutes after blocking a scam call. Both numbers show from same area.

I just got a call from this number. The man on the other end of the line had a rather heavy accent, saying that this was in reference to the call I had with his colleague the past week about an unsecured loan. When I asked for the company name or any other sort of identification, he refused to give me any details. (He wouldn t even tell me the name of the person I allegedly had a phone call with.) A text apparently from HSBC saying a payment was attempted from a new device, if this wasn’t me, go online to hs-payee-bankingonline-supportalert.com/login/. I didn’t open the link. Not only that, it’s a company credit card and they don’t have my personal telephone number. So obviously a scam.

This is a fake number used by scammers to try to get personal information about you. They sound very official and scary, suggesting legal action against you. I inadvertently provided them with my name, National Insurance number and name of bank before I realised that it was a phishing attempt. The caller spoke with a slightly American accent. I tried to call the number back, but it's invalid.
