this number called claiming to be government official that had details that bank interest had not been applied accurately so they wanted to pay this back via cheque the female knew my name date of birth and full address asked if i was able towalk to the bank i responded that i would call the bank myself she hung up. another scam against people of a certain age trying to get bank details BEWARE!!!

Which I did (as I cancelled it 4 years ago already). Got what sounded like Asian children talking at high speed, very broken up. I traced the mobile phone to a field in Manchester. That is a legitimate business then?? I think not.

Called from this number. He said he was from Orange, but wasn t able to verify. Asked me if I had their broadband. Didn t answer him, just asked him what the call was about. Said he wanted to save me money. I think he realised he wasn t going to get far, so he gave up and ended the conversation. I don t believe he was from Orange.
Guy said he was calling about my PPI refund and that one of my credit cards had said i would be refunded £1800 lol, he then said he needed to ask some questons for security and asked my address. I asked what they had on the system and he hung up. Clearly a scam. Do not give out any infomation to them!!!

Had yet another call this morning, message left on the landline answering machine. I have asked repeatedly for my number to be removed because they are asking for someone that isn t me. Every time they say they will remove my number, it goes quiet for a few weeks, then starts all over again. I ve had the same number for 16 years and have told them this, but they still keep calling.
