Asian lady, who I couldn't understand, claiming to be from the government department claims advisory group. Apparently they had a cheque to send me for overpaid bank charges. Told her to send it to me, but she wanted my DOB. When challenged that surely they knew this as they had my name and number and address etc, then they must already have my DOB, she said it was for verification, at which point I thanked her for the call (it included a few expletives) and hung up. Do not engage with them.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1916719xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, car accident claims, insurance marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
