When I asked him for the identity of the PC and its serial number so I could identify which of the 200 PCs at my location was the issue he blathered a bit and then when I asked him which of the Police Constables he wished to speak to he hung up. An asian sounding gentleman rang from this number, said has name was Daniel, and that he would only take up a minute of my time, and then wouldn t bother me again. He knew my name and postcode. I asked what it was all about, as I wouldn t give any information until then. He hung up.

They are calling "from BT" claiming that my pc is infected, they will ask for online access to my pc, they will take control of it only handing it back when I pay a fee - despicable scumbags

As soon as you answer, the caller shuts down so what is the point of them calling. nuisance value or to check whether you are in.No idea but these nerds are a menace to everyone.

If you Google the number, it comes back to Brother. 0333 numbers are used in the UK and known as non-geographic but are (supposedly) cheaper than 08 and 09 numbers.
