Silent call hung up as soon as I answered, blocked
Heavily accented man called about my router. Couldn't tell what he said his name was or his company but seeing other responses he could have been trying to say Talk Talk. Told him that I'm registered with the telephone preference service and put the phone down. I've since had four more calls within 5 minutes of the original call.

Received a call from 01784279719 on 24/08/2017. Asian sounding male asked to talk about my "Windows" PC. So for fun I asked which one? I m an old nerd and have all between Win 3.1 and Win 10, but I did not tell him that! He says "the one running the Windows operating system". It s obvious he is fishing for info! Scammer - website offers free sample to obtain bank details and then illegally signs you up for a subscription. Numerous reports received via several bank fraud lines. Bank will block the subscription but you have to try to reclaim the stolen monies yourself.
Said he was from Telephone Preference Management. He. Knew my name and my address and postcode. Asked if I had problems with Telephone marketing and sales people, asked if he meant like this call , he said he wasn't selling anything and obviously I didn't know what Telephone-marketing was. I ended the call.

Received a missed call from 01277 557 626 - phoned back as number from Brentwood where I live. No ringing, goes straight to a strange robotic voice saying "Your call is very important to us, please stay on the line while we transfer you to the next available agent" Then silence, no holding music. Hung up straight away as appears to be a bogus call - no company greeting and I doubt they ever transfer you to anyone. Just racking up your call time to get money.
