I have just received a call from a female withe an Indian accent. She claimed to be representing someone who was involved in an accident with me. I said I remembered no accident (I haven t had one!). She said, are you sure? I asked what is my registration? She said she was not allowed to say. I asked her what was my name? She said "sorry to trouble you" and put the phone down as I accused her of being a scam.

This grouping of numbers is ridiculous! I started researching this number and it returned spam, so no, I don't need to hear what they have to say! If I fail to answer once, they'll immediately try to call again. When I don't answer, I block. Then they'll ring on a slightly different number in the coming days with the same tactics. I answered a call from this number, and heard a male at the other end of the line with the sound of other people in the room. He didn’t answer immediately, and after a short while asked if I could hear him, to which I, possibly foolishly replied “Yeah, yeah”. The phone was not put down at his end, but there was no reply when I tried to communicate at which point I ended the call.
This was a recorded message to say illegal activity had been on my internet which would be cut off in 24 hours. I was to press 1 to speak to someone. Clearly an attempt to get into my computer so cut it off.
