A spokesperson from BT us, “We’ll never call a customer to tell them their router or IP address has been compromised or ask for any personal information, including bank details unexpectedly and we’ll never call from an ‘unknown’ number.

Foreign sounding guy purporting to be from BT Openreach. Told me he'd detected slow internet speed on my Broadband. Asked me various networky questions which I deflected. Eventually, he realised he was being taken for a ride and accused me or wasting his time (!) A tirade of abuse followed and he called me an a****le, m*****f*****r and a few other expletives. At this point I started laughing which made him even more abusive. I said I would report him to Ofcom as such language is illegal in UK phone network.

Supposedly the NatWest fraud squad wanting you to press Y (yes) or N (no) on your phone to verify whether transactions on your account are legimate. FRAUD.

I have been contacted by this number every day (some time twice a day)for the past week. each time it has been for the same contract opportunity each time I tell them NO! SCAM - Claiming to be calling on behalf of EDF Energy, total gas and British gas to update records. I called EDF, they confirmed this is not their number.
