Asked for email address as I didn't have the time to speak, told them to send me an email as they seemed to have my info, but he could only confirm my name, so I hung up. This is a scam number, and probably all numbers 023821464**. Asian sounding voice said he was from "Amazon Fraud Department" and that my account had been compromised (I don't have an Amazon account). He quoted, correctly both my mobile number and my house phone number. Told me that the account would be frozen. Got this call today so looked it up on this site. One thing though - if it s clear pretty quickly that it s a cold caller that you don t want to speak to, just say "no" and put the phone down. No need for a polite conversation. No need for "no thank you very much". Just put the phone down. They are being extremely rude by intruding into your day so you allowed to be rude back by just hanging up straight away. Much easier for you.
