Called about a motorcycle accident only 6 days ago (about which I'd only spoken to insurance company) - their info was several days old and when I asked who they were and why they were contacting me they asked why I was being rude and then hung up! - all the signs of a dodgy '3rd party claims vulture' if you ask me!!

Recorded (Phishing?) message reportedly from HMRC suggesting prosecution was in progress and asking you to press a number to speak with someone.
This is a number being used to impersonate HMRC.

Strange missed call from 01914 290258 Afternoon 8th July 2022. No message so possibly not genuine.
Scam. Following a facebook ad with a profile of a local celebrity you are asked to provide your contact details. They then call you back and try to sell you a trading platform package.

I said I had a Linux phone and they hung up lol

SCAM. An Asian sounding man who called himself Simon called me to say my washing machine warranty had run out. Seeing as our washing machine is about 15 or more years old I do not doubt it. I told him not to try and scam me as I had had these sort of calls before, and hung up. I have since blocked the number.

Not sure tried to call it back and its saying they are but I did call the acutal British Passport office and they have told me that this number is FRAUD! so do not give any information of yours! to 02038597401 this is a fraudulent number. The text message received from this number on 14/02/2024 at 12:13 simply read: "Got it (thumbs up emoji)" No other content and this number is not in my phone book nor was I expecting any messages like this from anyone.
