Man with Indian accent asked for me by name, claiming to be calling in relation to DNS mail server problems. Asked if my computer has been running slowly or with issues and then asked if I was happy for him to go ahead with fixing it. I am ex-directory and TPS registered etc so asked how he got my details which he then claimed he got from my ISP. Clearly that wouldn t happen due to data protection so I asked for his company name and contact details so I could call them later. He said i could check them out

Received automated call after attempting to make a payment with my card which was refused. Automated voicemail left this number to call. This number is for the Fraud line call centre in Sunderland. I was wary at first about giving details and voiced this but service advisor said if worried not legit to call number on the back of my card and will be put through to them (not pressured into giving any security info at all). If this is Laithwaites I am a former member and have notified the company to stop all future calls as I have cancelled my membership. It seems to have fallen on deaf ears as I also get postal communications.

applied for loan online. received loads of ph calls & sms claiming they can sort loan, just ph them to proceed. same as other people are commenting, you get given another number to ph, which is 09no. told cost of call will be refuunded, & loan never materialises. Obviously a scam, got be fair though all seemed very genuine in beginning. glad i looked into it in more detail. 1 to avoid in future, have now blocked number

it rang at 14.16 23/8 when i answered it hung up My guess is whoever is on the other end of the phone makes a decision on whether its worth having a conversation to scam any money off them by the way they answer - as they would know who they could pull the wool over the potential victims eyes & who theyve no chance of winning I answered it with a firm Hello .If it had been a pensioner i reckon they wouldve started a conversation anyone know who the company is
