Happy New Year and these scamming idiots are at it again!

This number rings me 2 or 3 times a week, never leaves a message. I am on TPS, but doesn't make a difference to this person/organization

A foreign sounding man introduced himself as John Parker and said I was due for refund of bank charges. I gave him my dob (I recently claimed charges and for a second thought it was genuine.)I would never give bank details and said so. I just said Lloyds bank(not true).He said his boss will phone me today. They called this morn and I didn t answer. Dreading the phone ringing now and worried giving my dob was a dangerous thing. He didn t swear but got more impatient as the call went on.

Just had a call and tried to blag me for personal information. They are not affiliated with Vodafone. Scammers so be aware.

I am registered with TPS and would never consider buying from a company that refuses to respect that request for privacy. Apart from anything else, a lack of respect for the law in this one respect suggests they may be less than law abiding in others (e.g. building regulations!). Reports on other "nuisance call" sites confirm this firm is best avoided.

02 Nov 2021 - An Indian guy rang my mobile from this number, knew my name. I asked where he was calling from but couldn’t understand what he said, put him on loudspeaker and asked again and no one in my office could understand what he said? I asked what it was regarding and he said the rent on my address and knew my address?? I said I don’t rent my house and he put the phone down on me??? Called today, the lady was polite but had incorrect information about my work history. Said my number had been given through Reactive Media - another company that is rated untrustworthy - no idea how they got my number (I am on TPS). Must have been trying to sell something, maybe insurance, but didn t get that far!

SCAM Says it’s HSBC and a payment was made from a new device, I don’t even have an account with them. Also had a link but I am not pressing it.

Calling on behalf of HMRC have sent six letters requesting six different amounts seems they do not know what they are doing - just rack in some money whether you owe or not. Ignored them.

Call purporting to be Talk-Talk saying I had a problem on my internet. Probably the usual scam to try and hack my computer and then chanrge me a fortune to solve the problem that the cretins have caused. Heavily accented asian voice which is typical as I ve had several calls of this nature in the past.
