silent call caller display thinks it is overseas, numerous other complaints

This call was from a company promoting a subscription to a well-known UK motorsport magazine.

Indian man, after giving an English name,says he is calling from BT Technical Dept.I know that there is no such Department within the BT organisation!!I said goodbye and put the phone down!! It is High time BT themselves did something about this type of call as it has been going on for a very long time.Do not be fooled, it is a SCAM which potentially will relieve you of large amounts of your money!!

This number rang I never spoke, they never spoke and just hung up. No doubt another spam caller.

Accident claims scam

A scam to ring them back on a premium rate number.

Foreign sounding guy purporting to be from BT Openreach. Told me he'd detected slow internet speed on my Broadband. Asked me various networky questions which I deflected. Eventually, he realised he was being taken for a ride and accused me or wasting his time (!) A tirade of abuse followed and he called me an a****le, m*****f*****r and a few other expletives. At this point I started laughing which made him even more abusive. I said I would report him to Ofcom as such language is illegal in UK phone network.

Called my wife today. Indian gentleman called Rick. Same spiel as previously reported. Why doesn t BT put these people off-line. BT must be aware of this scam but choose to ignore it as they make money out of the scammers calls. Get your finger out BT!!

NOT a scam it is a wheelie bin cleaning company I have used for years.

Called me today asking if I d made a payment to Thomas Cook? Asked for my account details and balance. Be aware!

Calling from a life insurance company. Sounds like a fraud. Beware of the number.

The call is not from the UK. These calls originate from Asia, using spoofed UK numbers.

Just playing music when I picked up. Then automated voice said "thank you for calling. Goodbye" when they d rung me.

no-one at the other end it seems...is a scotish area code as far as I can tell.

I received a call from this number on my mobile at 0754 this morning (19/03/2021). I declined the call.

This number has called several and when I answer there is a delay which suggests a call centre but no one speaks

Telephone rings, silence, then the phone is disconnected. Very annoying. I am with telephone preference service!!

keeps ringing, but when you answer you can hear the call centre in the background just before it goes dead. Very irritating.

A classic Boiler Room cold call scam. The caller claimed to be from a financial company offering investment opportunities to high net worth individuals. He would go away when I said "No"; so I hung up and blocked his number.

Have called me several times this week. Luckily, I ve not been able to answer.
