Called to try and gain access to PC remotely said it had been hacked and had been downloading illegal materials. Very threatening and abusive. Indian accent.
Robo voice claiming i needed to speak to an operator for a tax fraud against me or a warrant would be issued and I would be arrested shortly - I'll take my chances on that one.

I got a phone call today (ending up on my voicemail). The message said: “This is officer Danis Grey from HM Revenu and Costume. The hotline to ??? revision is 02 03 314 77 91. I repeat, it is 02 03 314 77 91. Do not disregard this message and call us back. If you do not call us back, or we do not hear from your solicitor either. Then get ready to face the legal consequences. Good bye. And take care.” It is obviously a scary phishing phone call.

This was a call centre calling on behalf of Uswitch who wanted to compare gas and electric prices
spoke to a girl called Meghan, she was polite at first but then became rude and sharp once I said I won t be spending any more money on my adwords. She also laughed at me when I mentioned I m experimenting with it and I prefer to learn by mistakes. She was also eating while speaking to me. Doesn t seem like a company I d ever want to deal with.

AMAZON. The usual one about Amazon Prime. Your acct will be auto renewed for £79+. I don't have it so it can't. Get these scam calls all the time. They want you to press "1" so gawd knows what that does - link you into an expensive Ling Distance call or something. Someone is determined to get money from you, I don't fully understand how but they wouldn't be in this for nothing! I fail to understand why the police or BT can't DO something about it!!!

Scam recorded message saying that they are stopping use of my National insurance number as I have committed several frauds and criminal activity, press 1 to speak with an officer... and no doubt get fleeced lots of money for doing so. I had not one but 2 bogus calls from the same company today - first of all told them to F*** off and hung up - an hour or so later the rang again and I let them think they were ...

They rang us up claiming there was a money withdrawal from one of my parents' bank cards or £8000, even though after checking no withdrawals were made.
If you have free calls (eg free weekend and evening calls through BT) then phone them back (with 141 prefix) and tell them to check the TPS website before calling anyone. If they ask for your postcode, refuse to tell them. Also refuse to give your number, or any other information about yourself. Simply state over and over again that they are required to consult the TPS website before calling any number. If they talk over you just keep saying "Dont t talk over me, listen to me" until they stop, then tell

I have received 3 calls per day, from various numbers across the UK, following an accident in November (6 months). They all know my registration number, and date of accident, enough to pretend they are working on behalf of my insurer. THEY ARE NOT!

SCAM: First of all, an automated male voice saying ' Hello, Customer, an ipad has been added to your Amazon account'. The taped message was poorly recorded and there were several breaks and skips in it. It played 3 or 4 times continuously before I ended the call. I didn't wait for the end of the message. They offered me a 40% discount on my EE bill. I checked with EE and its a scam, nothing to do with EE. They ask some personal questions (which i refused to answer) then send a generic email, Subject 'EE Upgradation' (im not even sure that's a word, is it) saying Welcome to EE, etc, etc. I hung up and suggest you do the same.
