I ve had three calls today from 02088523462 five yesterday, every time trying to convince me that they are "Microsoft technical" that my computer is "sending them errors". I know this is bs and decided today to have a nice long conversation with them about my background in networks engineering and how I know it is bs, but I understand that the guy on the other line is only doing his job and reading a script and that if he doesn t get abusive with me we should be able to resolve this. As with previous comments, I had a call from an Indian gentleman on 002389001076 and had been chosen at random - the UK government does not do this type of thing so I knew it was a scam. Anyway, I had a little time to kill so let him talk on a little whilst doing the crossword, throwing in the odd "yes" and "I see". He then started to explain that I had to ring this number (02032895855) back in order to claim the money. He gave me a code (which I managed to write down correctly on the 5th attempt) and then

Their dialling code is Tarporley, Cheshire though. eBay HQ is based in Richmond. Anyway it seemed like a scam and he hung up when I asked more questions
