They were fun to play along with for a bit (I don't drive or have a car) - just another cold-calling ambulance-chasing company who've bought a random list of mobile numbers from a dodgy 'marketing' company. I almost feel sorry for the poor sods trying to earn a living thinking they're working for a legit outfit. Blocked now.
SCAM - Automated call from a Warwickshire number claiming that my Amazon account had been fraudulently used to purchase an Apple iphone 11. I only use it to purchase Kindle ebooks. Don't even be tempted to press 1 out of curiosity you'll either get charged a hefty fee on your landline phone bill, or speak to someone who will put the fear of god into you, convince you this is real, get you to disclose your true card details or even manage to get your internet banking log on details from you!

I told them that if I was going to follow their advice, then I wouldn't be protected by the FSA (Financial Services Authority). Fraud. A text message, which reads: "HSBC. A new payee request was created from an unrecognised device. You can authorise or cancel this request and then there is a website that looks legitimate but clearly isn't." That was a text message at 10:50 am today 08 deb 2021.
