Phone number 0189 271 0469 was given to me by bogus Microsoft Help [SIC] agent "Charlie Smith" (Indian accent) whilst trying to con me into the well known MS scam call, no doubt hoping to infect my old PC with whatever they put on it, for anyone daft enough to believe them.

I asked where they had obtained my information from and he said from an online form I had completed, and as I have recently, this would seem feasible, as the databases are available to purchase in the telemarketing world. Optical Express - they called as I had made an inquiry online about laser eye surgery but they rang 10 times over the space of a few days, didn t leave a message or text/email to say who they were. It really has put me off using them as I can imagine they will harass me if I do go for a consultation.
TAXES / HMRC they called me today and told me something about tax and to avoid jail time, it wasn't even a proper answering machine it sounded like the Google translate voice, I tried calling them back later this afternoon and said their number is invalid. If you are concerned about your tax and stuff call hmrc directly and chat with them if there's something going on cause this number seems a bit dodgy. I'm gonna call them myself tomorrow morning

Call arrived whilst I was in the republic of Moldova. I work with victims of child-trafficking in that region and my number is only used for emergencies from agencies relating to the subject. Consequently, I tried returning the call with several connections, but the call eventually dropped out. When I returned home discovered I still had to pay for the calls at a rate of GBP£1.27 per connection, plus the same cost for having answered the incoming call! Caveat Emptor!
