somebody who works for the phone company told me they purposely have setup computers to automatically call peoples houses and then hang up. they said it makes the phone company profit by people simply answering and hanging up due to the lines being used. its a timewasting tactic. simply ignore it
Blacks Brokers appear to have changed tack and are now calling themselves Business Match UK - they asked if (name) still owned the business and then, can I have a quick chat, when I asked what it was about they hung up. Most annoying!

Sent me a text message a few days ago asking Miss XYZ to forward her documentation! I texted back to say they d got a wrong number but apparently their number doesn t recieve text messages, although it does seem to be able to send them! Yep, same thing happened to me. One number out of an influx of numbers calling me and hanging up - scamming Paki bastards in scam call-centres routing their calls through unused UK phone numbers to pretend that they're legitimate companies to try and fish for your personal details and use them for fraud. I wish these filthy Paki bastards would just fuck off and die!

I just had a call from them & never picked it up. Assuming from all the comments on here, it sounds like it is Vodafone trying to get hold of the owner of all new phones to either check the service is ok or to check something else.
