I haven’t answered this call yet as I tend to not answer calls where I don’t recognise the number - I figure if it’s important they’ll leave a voicemail. I was getting consistent calls from another number in the same area as this one which I blocked yesterday, and now today I’ve already had two calls from this number in the same area. Please watch out for these scumbags - they will also send a very official looking booklet claiming to be from Scottish Widows via e-mail A couple of guys calling themselves Tom & Jamie but when you try calling their number it doesn't connect They are very polite and professional on the phone If you send them any money you will never see it again - luckily we didn't get caught but it was close

I got a call this a recorded message saying that it was from HMRC and they had sent a letter to me which had been returned to them and they were about to start a prosecution against e and I should press the 1 keg to speak to an agent. I immediately hung up. This is an old scam which is apparently still doing the rounds.
07834756958 A Person calls up and says I think you have my phone. (Strange as I've had this number for over 10yrs.) Told him I think you got a wrong number. Then get a text saying sorry to bother you I got a few numbers the wrong way around. Possibly someone doing research to see if the number is active to put it on scam site. So will look out for more calls.
Called about 11am this morning. Well spoken female voice with English accent said she was an official energy agent in the area and asked if I still had fibreglass loft insulation. I immediately asked her the name of the energy company she worked for. She immediately ended the phone call. Obviously a scam.
Telephone call from 01505 340340 on 3 March, 2023. Recorded message from unidentified "bank" regarding unspecified charges. Option to select number to process call onwards, probably to enable fraud. Obviously terminate telephone call and block number.

Couldn’t understand a word said, as soon as I answered the phone there was a loud fast lot of words rushed out then quiet with no response when I asked who they were. I’m not even sure if they were human or recording, so I put the phone down since another word was not spoken by them.

Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!

Cold called me and said I had asked for a home owner loan - I had not. When challenged there was an excuse ready regarding a re-dial but this did not seem remotely plausible. I suspect it’s a Phishing/Finance scam - please beware!
