I told them they had the wrong number, the caller replied, they had the right number but the wrong person, and continued to insist that I answer the questions. The voice sounded familiar from past nuisance calls apparently being from Dave a guy with an Asian accent.

The number the scammer is telling people to call is our home number. We have been receiving a large number of calls since last Wednesday from various scared and vulnerable people thinking this is true. We have now had to change our phone number to stop the calls. It is disturbing to hear what the scammer is saying to these people. I’ve reported the number to actionfraud.police.uk if you have received a call please report it on this website.

Asian sounding man called today from a call center. He was distracted by my dog barking and wanted to get into a conversation about my dog which was obviously a rouse to get me to try and interact with him.
