Auto message stating call from 'bank fraud dept' saying 'your card has been used for £300 via amazon & £1000 for an international transfer. No bank name, no card type given. Sounds like a scam as asked to press option 1 to cancel or option 3 to speak to someone.
BT 1471 gave this as the number. When I rang it, a BT message said "number unknown" Obviously BT know this is a problem number. Strange that 1471 does not

I didn't answer this call, but they did call both my landline and mobile without leaving a message.
Unsolicited call using local std number. To discuss the car accident I had (no I had not, also asked for different persons name).
Male caller identified my car and reg. no. and asked whether I had been refunded the excess on a motor accident I had not had. When asked to which accident he was referring, the line went dead. Worrying that he was able to link my mobile number, car make, model & reg.
I think fraudsters hi jack a genuine number but unrecognised to you and use it to divert you to a recorded message about your national insurance number being used and stolen. If you disconnect and call the number back the genuine holder of the number answers and is bewildered

Keeps calling so i finally answered it, there was a recording saying more nbn is getting disconnected in 24 hours and i have to talk to a technician, so I waited to be connected to see what happened, and they hung up. Be careful.
