Flagged as scam on Samsung so did not pick up. Have a business phone so would not expect personal life insurance call. Honestly, GDPR was a waste of time, penalising honest businesses but scammers and thiefs are safe? Just don't pick up a number you don't know, why would your Insurance call you? They never do.

SCAM virgin media scammer calling from India trying to get you to go to website because your line speed and router has faults which they use called zoho.zom. This is a fake site which will download software to your computer to steal information. just tell them they are scammers and they soon hang up. They will also try on 0119 numbers

I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. Called me twice so far today. Automated voice claiming to be from Mastercard/Visa, saying that £600 has been withdrawn from my account and to press 1 immediately, as my account has been compromised. Scaremongering and fraudulent. I hung up each time.

Fraud Recorded message saying that a tax evasion warrant recorded against my name and if I didn’t press option 1 then prepare to be arrested

SCAM / SPAM - Answered the call and got a ringing tone as if I had made the call. Someone with Northern accent asked me about Life Insurance, but I think it was pre-recorded. I responded, but didn't get an answer. Then it occured to me that, due to the ringing tone, they might somehow have engineered a way for me to be paying for the call so I hung up and blocked the number.

SCAM People pretending to be from BT saying that internet has been compromised. Try to get you to let them have control of you PC via Anydesk, and get really angry when they find out you're playing with them and wasting their time - 28 minutes to be exact. :-)
