07401878848 is a mobile phone number at an indian call centre, i traced it back through the network. Someone pretending to be from amazon stating that my details have been used to order some high value items and that to cancel it i would have to do as they instructed. They wanted remote access to my computer/tablet/phone so they could steal my data. The idiots didn't realise that they had phoned an it company. when i informed them of their mistake they hung up.

They claimed to be from my bank (VM money was Yorkshre Bank) to ask me about potential fraud on my card. (£52 on Argos in Aberdeen) I was supicious when they got agressive when I didn't know my banking paswword and I said I would have to call them back. I called the fraud number I have in my phone (0800 121 4251) and they confirmed it wasn't them that called me before. The chap on the actual fraud line also said that the real bank won't ask for any part of or all your internet banking password EVER!

Scammer. Tried to sell me a Vodafone contract and wasn't affiliated with Vodafone at all.

Said some letter was forwarded back to the sender and there will be some legal action taken against me. I have no idea what this is about

Automated message supposedly to be from my bank about charges to my account, the first for £700. I hung up as sure it's a scam. My bank doesn't contact me this way, or in this manner. Double checked and all is fine. My bank has been very good so far at spotting fraudulent debits. This looked like a local number so it could appear legitimate. I expect there was a number to press to connect with scammer. Despicable people.

Recorded message purporting to be from VISA security advising of two debits to my card, and asking my to press a number to speak to them. Lack of customer name or even name of card issuer made call to generic to be legit, so looks like a scam. However since number is a landline looks like the recorded number is also bogus

Rang today saying it was a debt company and my husband( who they didn’t know was deceased ) owed money for a long time . I didn’t tell them he was deceased and said if you want ant contact with my husband you’ll only get it through me , as this Indian insisted he spoke to him . Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!
