Apparently, my Internet connection is unsecure and they are calling to tell me they will disconnect in 4hrs. When challenged - the lady caller wanted me to push combination of keys on keyboard but by this time I was so frustrated that she hung up because I must have sounded rude. She wanted to show me why/how my connection was insecure. -Didn't give her the chance - being described the CTRL / ALT / DELETE buttons as though I'm a child is not acceptable. Gave him false sort code and account number to see where this was going. He asked me to "confirm" my date of birth also gave him a false date, he missed the fact it was April Fool's day. Same experience as all below - when I questioned how they got my number they hung up abruptly.
Pretending to be a local number to me but the usual £700 Amazon charge, then £2000 overseas transfer scam. 2nd one today.
Hoax call I presume phone rang today at 9.31am answered said hello call immediately disconnected. Attempted to call back a few times but the line always engaged.
