Claimed to be our "local, government-appointed" energy consultants. Claimed fibreglass loft insulation can cause damp and mould and result in reduced energy efficiency. Wanted to send someone to inspect the loft. Told them I wasn't interested. I see the phone number is registered 100+ miles from where I live, so not very local then! This is apparently a common scam.
Rang for 7 seconds - did not have a chance to answer. Called on a different phone to the one they phoned me on and got a Northants County court number. Which means I probably ...

Had 11 calls yesterday and so far 6 today most calls are silent or just beep and the say goodbye. 1 of the calls I had there was somebody at the other end who said they were from the TPS and wanted to know if I was still getting unwanted calls and I asked what like this one and put phone down but they still persist in phoning sometimes 3 times in the space of 20 minutes

Have had several calls from this number - 01618500044 - they say they are a company called RECLAIM FINANCE. I have never taken out finance so cannot be owed any compensation?! When I,ve got a free minute I bombard these parasites with dead calls by withholding my own number see how these oiks like it! Very suspicious callers. Claiming to be a Pensions firm asking for personal details including even your Nat Ins number which I did not divulge to them. Their response was to say "we cannot proceed any further without this". They do have English accents. My suspicions are confirmed when I try to call back on this number - phone just goes dead. If these people are not scammers - they do a very good impression of scammers.
