I received a recorded message telling me that an attempt had been made to use my credit card for the sum of £900 and that if it wasn’t me I was to press option 1 (there were no other options) when I called the number back I was told by recorded message that the phone was switched off.

Possible scam. Women said she was from Amazon and they'd noticed unusual activity on my Mum's account. Told her to press 1 if she hadn't bought something for £700. Mum was suspicious, rang off, got the number by dialing 1471 then rang it back. Women who answered refused to give her name and said she hadn't called Mum and didn't work for a company.

Received this call today. It came approximately 30 minutes after a call from a Cambridge number 01223 931995. The Cambridge number went dead on answering. The 01330 563426 number allowed me to answer, and an automated message said it was the HMRC and that I would be fined. You could press 1 to talk to an agent. I hung up. You cannot ring back. This number called said they were from my bank but didn't say which bank and that £2000 had been taken from my bank account. They then asked for my bank details, I hung up.

Fraud received an automated call from Amazon Prime saying an amount of £79.99 was outstanding and to press 2 to talk to customer services. Pressed 2 and a foreign gentleman told me that I-needed to resolve this situation. I told him it was a scam, he refuted it, told him again it was a scam and he needed to get a better job, he lost it and called me a white honky dumb bitch and slammed the phone down on me. He’s obviously not having a good day. Lol !

Scammer purporting to be from BT

Credit card/bank account scam. Recorded message stated unusually high values transactions had occurred. Did a quick online check of my accounts and there were no such transactions.

This phone number has attempted identity theft in January 2023.
