Called again about ten minutes ago confronted them about this and they were very aggressive towards me said there company is professional and wouldn t do such things. Scammer block it. Someone pushing smart meters would actually know that 2G will soon be phased out, and 3G in due course, and there is little point in fitting 2G meters now. 2G meters will have to be replaced. They should also know who is paying to power the meter (not us!) and to understand and be able to provide a VPN for the connection and an RF filter for protection. (PS If offering a 4G meter, they should also know whether 4G cover is available at your location - if not then call their bluff!)
