The people on the other end of this phone have confirmed by letter they are delivering me a phone on 23rd August 2012 and that my current phone will be switched off on 26th. I am now receiving phone calls telling me I am entitled to a free upgrade and cheaper phone rate. I have told them several times now over five days that this is already sorted and I am now still receiving phone calls. Claimed to be notifying me about a problem with unpaid national insurance bill and instructs to press one to prevent an automatic charge being made. Ring back gives a permanent engaged sound. SCAM

Call from this number asking about 'your accident', when it was and so on. I told her not to call back and hung up.

Surely to goodness someone, somewhere, has got to put a stop to this. Who is paying for all these claims? Us, in our high insurance costs of course. It is pissing me off, big time. Stop phoning me - I was not hurt, but it is getting to the point where perhaps I should claim just to stop these calls. Two bleeding years I have been fending off these damned nuisance calls.

Got a call and the guy said he was from MTN asking if I did a sim swap today. I said no! He said I would receive an OTP with this no 573343. He said I will get another message with a different pin, I must give it to him. I got it and it stated: Do not give this pin to anyone. When he called back, I said I cannot give this pin to you. Who are you? Then he was off the line. I tried to call the no and it was just dead. I blocked it.
