Vodafone called from the 'Value sales team'. They gave me the details of my account, bit of a hard sell but eventually ended up adding over 20Gb per month and free subscription for an extra £2 pcm without extension to contract. Details showed in Vodafone app within minutes. Genuine call but a hard sales person, very very persistant.

Calling every day, sometimes more than once. Don't know who they are because unless they give their name my phone (with nuisance blocker) doesn't even ring. So it must be an automated call otherwise they'd stop trying. Love my phones - these nuisance calls are a thing of the past. I only look occasionally to see if one number has been repeatedly calling / and this one has.

Called twice today. Answered 2nd call - "Mike (Punjabi) Smith", from 'BT'. Foreign person using my IP address for illegal purposes - would need to disconnect my internet for 5 days. Told me to hit CTRL+R and Windows key and enter something. I played along (doing NOTHING on my laptop, but then asked him, "You say this is coming from my IP address - then you can tell me what it is!?". He gave me a random number from hos head, I guess. The clue is in the number. Apart from inner city London, when last I looked, all UK numbers begin with 01. Clive, Peter, Brian Stephen etc are NOT popular names in India as these people would have you believe. The bottom line is a simple one, if you don’t recognise the number, don’t answer. I hung up and I blocked this number. Scammer! They called me and they said that I had an accident. ambulance chaser. accident scam. I m thinking to call the police.
This was an automated call claiming to be from a bank (unspecified), warning me about two purchases through Amazon, on my bank card. I had a similar call for a local number earlier in the day. I didn't click 1 or 2 to authorise or to get help. Apparently the number is a landline in Bangalore!

SCAM, judging by the many comments left on other look-up numbers. At 08:13 a male voice said he was BT Technical Department. We are not with BT so I put the phone down. The same number rang at 08:22. I did not answer it, so after a few seconds the ringing stopped. Many other people have reported the same experience.
