How do we stop this unjustified, annoying, harrasing type of call? They should be punished punitively and the money paid to those who receive their nuisance calls.

I have stopped answering these suspicious calls for the time being - too busy. As with the one I received at the same time yesterday, when I was having breakfast, I concluded the caller was another criminal trying to persuade me to give them access to my computer so they could infect it. That is because the majority of the calls I get are of that nature. The likelihood was all the greater because, like yesterday s call, it was purportedly from an area where I do not know anyone.

Keep calling me asking for Mr Wilson. Regardless of how many times they are told no one of that name lives here, still they persist. Complete A holes!!

Has called several times but I have a speaking phone which tells me the name if it s someone I know, and if unknown, it tells me the location or number of the caller. I did not recognise the number so each time, I ignored it.

recieved an automated message "You re calling this number because we contacted you regarding a large kitchen appliance"... didn t order anything at all. however, I m sure whether this is a scam or not. perhaps they have the wrong number.

Dodgy number. Don’t know how they knew I called Hmrc yesterday. Can’t be a coincidence. Accidentally rang back and didn’t hear ring tone so hopefully won’t get charged.

I received a call from this number just now. He said he was from a company called Technical Help Service and told me my computer had a virus. He tried to convince me using various methods including running the eventvwr (the errors listed there are not related to viruses!) This is identical to the well known Windows Technical Helpdesk scam. Although there are only poll here, I feel disturbed and annoyed. The call again and speak nothing on the answering machine. Then, when someone talks to me and is not placed directly if one wants to conduct a survey.

Calls from this number every day. 6 today so far. Hang up when answering machine trips in.
