I assume the call was from Diem Mobile, who are loosely attached to the T-Mobile/EE empire. I bought a Samsung from that mob a few years ago - the first (and last) time. I was called on 14th May 2018 at 1307. The caller told me that he worked for Telephone preference management and that they would stop all nuisance calls. I told him that I was registered with TPS and he said they worked with them. I asked if this would cost any money and was told no. He then asked for my Visa card details. When I refused he said enjoy your nuisance calls and hung up. It is obviously a scam.
