Crazy scam with an Asian guy trying to bamboozle me with tech-speak. Told me my ip address had been made public and should be switched back to private. I asked him to confirm my IP address 'so I could be sure we were talking about the same connection'. He said no one had my IP address. I asked him for a phone number to call back on and he hung up. Total scam - I don't even have BT broadband.

BEWARE THIS NUMBER IS DANGEROUS AND A SCAM! Female Indian Voice with the usual "How are you today Sir? Then continues with I am phoning from Virgin Technical Department to advise that you have an internet problem....." [I'm not even on Virgin but decided to kid her along anyway and waste as much of her time as possible]. She then tries to make me log into my computer - which I PRETENDED to do, trying to waste as much of her time as possible..... eventually she became annoyed and hung up!

After directing me deep into my PC workings, I decided I'd had enough and challenged his authority. He then began to panic and insisted I had major technical problems when I haven't experienced any. I told him this and rang off. Have since checked number and found no connection with Sky.
