just got a call from this number. the man on the other line - someone name john something - said he was calling from "Allied Interstate" about an unpaid debt. I said that he must be mistaken as I don t have any debt. He said "we will see" and asked for personal information. I hung up. Obviously not trustworthy!

This company called and asked me if I had a mortgage on my house to which I replied no. Ye said 'so youve been mortgage free for some time then yes?' I replied 'why do you need to know this?' Checking that it was me using my card online. Phoned Sainsbury's Credit Card number that I normally use (not the one above)to make sure I hadn't fallen for a scam- call was genuine. I had booked a hotel and they had done a £1 swipe which aroused suspicion.
