They purport to be a government agency refunding bank fees. My belief is that they are scammers.
It is a debt management company. They do not charge a fee as they are funded by the financial sector.
Spam call, claiming to be from BT and saying hackers have got into your computer but BT will help you to sort it out. If you say you're not with BT, that doesn't bother them as they just say BT is the overall company and they're just protecting you. 'Annie' hung up when I insisted she was a scammer.
This number keeps calling my mother-in-low in Eastwood, she has a caller detector answer machine, and they never announce who they, or do not leave a message. It's a real nuisance.
As other commenters have already said, asian accented callers who leave "background noise" messages on my answer-phone. Don t bother phoning them back. Robotic female American voice telling me I'm wanted for unpaid taxes. I hung up but caller stayed online for 30 seconds before disconnecting. Quite alarming and I think many people would be quite frightened by this.

Call centre, claiming to be the Technical Department @ Virgin Media, wishing to discuss my internet access. I told her my number is registered with TPS and requested that all of my details are immediately removed from their database. She hung up without confirming whether she had complied. Strangely, her telephone number seems to be a landline in Germany and she is calling a UK mobile number. As I am not a Virgin Media customer, this is most likely a scam.
